WWE is reportedly looking to shut down their NXT UK brand following the #SpeakingOut movement.
According to a report by Tom Colohue of Sportskeeda.com, WWE is looking to shut down NXT UK following a large number of sexual misconduct, harassment, and assault allegations made against stars in the organization.
The #SpeakingOut movement is not the only reason why WWE is looking to close the brand. The report goes on to state how the organization feels the brand hasn’t been profitable a side from the Takeover shows, as well as the financial burden of keeping the brand running through the pandemic.
If the brand is to close, most of the remaining NXT UK talent will be moved to the main NXT brand.
NXT UK is currently home to some of the most exciting women’s wrestlers in the world including Aoife Valkyrie, Dani Luna, Isla Dawn, Jinny, Nina Samuels, Piper Niven, Toni Storm, Xia Brookside and the reigning women’s champion Kay Lee Ray.
