WWE legend Mickie James has her sights set on earning another championship when she returns to the ring in the very near future.
James has been out of action since June 2019 after suffering a torn ACL. After a successful knee injury, the 40-year-old has now fully recovered and should be set to make a return to WWE in the near future.
On Sunday, James responded to a fan on Twitter who said she deserves another reign with a title. James said she never wants to be “handed” anything but would rather “earn” and “take” what is hers. She promises that fans will see her very soon.
“I’ve never had anything “handed” to me… I won’t let that start today. I don’t want that Legacy… I’ll rather just earn… no TAKE it! Ps… see you soon!” she wrote.
James enjoyed a lot of success during her original Hall of Fame worthy WWE run from 2005 to 2010. In that time she notably captured the WWE Women’s Championship on five occasions, as well as the WWE Divas Championship on one occasion. Her storyline with Trish Stratus is considered by many to be one of the greatest programs in WWE history. Following a six-year hiatus, she re-signed with the organization in 2016.
