According to a report, the WWE Hall of Fame 2020 could be set to go ahead during Summerslam weekend.
The ceremony was originally scheduled to take place on April 2, 2020 from the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida, the event was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to a report by Wrestling News, an official date is yet to be determined but it is “very possible” that the ceremony will be moved to Summerslam weekend.
Summerslam is currently scheduled to take place on August 23, whilst NXT TakeOver: Boston is scheduled for August 22. This means the likely date for the ceremony will be August 21.
The report goes on to state that WWE still hopes to do SummerSlam with fans in attendance. The organization is also expected to announce this week that they will be welcoming back fans to RAW and SmackDown tapings scheduled for July 24 and 27 in a mid-sized arena with social distancing measures put in place.
The inductees for the 2020 WWE Hall Of Fame are Dave Bautista, John Bradshaw Layfield, “The British Bulldog” Davey Boy Smith, Jushin “Thunder” Liger, The NWO (Hulk Hogan, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash and Sean Waltman), and The Bella Twins (Nikki and Brie Bella).
