Liv Morgan didn’t appear on this past Monday’s edition of WWE RAW, however according to reports this wasn’t always the plan.
Morgan appeared on last week’s June 22, 2020 edition of WWE RAW, losing to Natalya and then being confronted by Ruby Riott backstage. On this week’s June 29, 2020 edition of the show, she was nowhere to be seen.
Dave Meltzer revealed on the recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that the Ruby Riott vs Peyton Royce singles match wasn’t originally the plan for the show, but rather a tag team match was, which would’ve seen Morgan and Riott vs. The IIconics. Due to various absences, WWE had to make do with the talent that was available.
The reason for Morgan’s withdrawal from the show has not been made clear at this time. However, various media outlets have reported it could be something to do with a boat trip she recently went on with Smackdown stars Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville.
It has been reported that up to 30 people within the WWE have tested positive for COVID-19. The WWE has not revealed who these people are and has encouraged its talents to keep quiet about it. WWE announcers Renee Young and Kayla Braxton recently came forward themselves revealing they have tested positive.
