This past Friday’s WWE SmackDown achieves its highest overnight ratings in over five months.

This past Friday’s September 11, 2020, edition of WWE SmackDown averaged at 2.261 million viewers which is up 9.5 percent from last week.  This is the highest viewership SmackDown has received since April 10, which was the post-WrestleMania show.

The show heavily advertised SmackDown Women’s Champion, Bayley, who explained why she viciously assaulted Sasha Banks one week prior. A fatal-four-way match also took place between Alexa Bliss, Nikki Cross, Lacey Evans and Tamina. Cross was victorious and will therefore challenge Bayley for the SmackDown Women’s Championship in just over two weeks at Clash of Champions 2020. Elsewhere on the show, a mysterious vignette aired showcasing a blonde woman from behind wearing high heels and a fur coat.
