Former WWE superstar Serena Deeb reflects on recent AEW debut

Former WWE superstar Serena Deeb made her AEW debut on this past Wednesday’s August 2, 2020, edition of Dynamite.

Serena Deeb made her AEW debut this past Wednesday.

Deeb made her AEW debut in a losing effort against NWA Women’s Champion, Thunder Rosa. The 34-year-old wrestling veteran has since taken to her social media pages to thank fans and AEW for their support and looks forward to making more appearances with the organization.

Your support is heard, felt, and appreciated. Thank you All Elite Wrestling for the platform to do what I love most in the world, and thank you to all who watched and enjoyed it. Can’t wait to do it again.” Deeb said in a statement on social media.

Deeb will be known to fans for her runs in WWE. During her initial run with the company in 2010, she was part of CM Punk’s “Straight Edge Society” along with Luke Gallows. During that time she notably shaved her head bald and competed against Kelly Kelly. After seven years away from the organization, she would return in 2017 to compete in the inaugural Mae Young Classic tournament before becoming a coach at the Performance Center up until her release this past April.
