Asuka fans have nothing to worry about when it comes to her position in the company following the firing of Paul Heyman.
Heyman was recently let go from his position as RAW Executive Director. It was recently reported that Asuka was one of Heyman’s many projects and this led some to worry about the possibility of Asuka losing her push. WrestleTalk reports that Asuka won’t be hurt with Heyman gone because WWE Chairman Vince McMahon is still high on her and see value in her as a top player in the women’s division, especially with Becky Lynch gone.
Asuka is the reigning RAW women’s champion, coming off a victory over Nia Jax on this past Monday night’s RAW. The 38-year-old was recently described as the greatest female wrestler of all time by former WWE star, Rusev. Asuka has previously held the Smackdown Women’s Title, NXT Women’s Title and WWE Women’s Tag Team Title. The history-maker was also the winner of the first ever women’s Royal Rumble back in 2018, and the first ever mixed match challenge.
