The WWE has announced that Asuka will put her RAW women’s title on the line this Monday when she takes on Charlotte Flair.

Charlotte Flair ended Asuka’s undefeated streak at the 2018 Wrestlemania 34 event.

This will be Asuka’s second straight RAW title defense after she defeated Nia Jax via pinfall this past Monday. Flair defeated Asuka in a non-title match the week before, and won via count out the week before that.

Flair and Asuka have a lot of history together which dates back to more than just the last month. In 2018 at Wrestlemania 34, Charlotte Flair defeated Asuka in a very high-profile match, ending her undefeated streak. In March 2019, Flair once again defeated Asuka, this time for the Smackdown women’s title.

Asuka won the women’s Money In The Bank ladder match at the 2020 PPV event which was aired on May 10. The following night on RAW, Becky Lynch announced her pregnancy and opened Asuka’s MITB box to unveil she had actually been fighting for the title. This was when Asuka would begin her current reign as RAW women’s champion.

This Monday’s June 22nd, 2020, edition of WWE RAW will be aired on the USA Network from 8pm ET.
