Former WWE superstar and wrestling legend Kyoko Inoue is set for a return to the ring on August 30 at an event in Japan.
Kyoko Inoue will return to action at the August 30th Diana event in Japan. The 51-year-old will be battling Jaguar Yokota. Inoue’s recently signed NXT protege, Sareee, is also set to be in action when she takes on Nagisa Nozaki.
51-year-old Kyoko Inoue will be known to WWE fans for her time in the organization during the early 1990s. She notably challenged Alundra Blayze for the WWE Women’s Championship in 1994, as well as challenging Bull Nakano for the title a year later. At the 1995 Survivor Series event, she was part of Team Alundra Blayze in what was the second-ever women’s survivor series match-up.
Inoue’s student, 24-year-old Sareee, was signed to the WWE in February of this year. Her move to the United States has been delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Although Inoue certainly made an impact in WWE, she is most known for her work in All Japan Women’s Pro Wrestling. With the organization, she was a multiple-time world champion in both singles and tag team competition. She currently owns the World Woman Pro-Wrestling Diana promotion, the same organization in which her return to the ring on August 30 takes place.
